It is the policy of Tucson Unified School District to authorize stipends to compensate employees for use of cell phones for district business. The District will not purchase cell phones or pay cell phone bills for business use unless specifically approved and budgeted. The Superintendent or designee is authorized to create regulations to determine who is eligible for stipends, and shall at least annually monitor the use of cell phone stipends to ensure that each stipend is paid only for legitimate district business needs.
